Abbey Hill Academy Catch Up Programme
A catch up programme is in place, focussing primarily on Y13 students in all the key elements of the Post 16 Curriculum (English/Maths/PSD/Science/IT).
3 teachers that support the college on a regular basis attends the college each Friday and either delivers 1:1/small group catch up work in liaison with the classroom teacher or supports with cover arrangements whilst the class teacher delivers the catch up work.
Eligibility for catch up is based upon baseline assessments that identify those students that have gaps in their learning. The baseline assessments also provides resource material that can be used in a catch up programme so that knowledge gaps can be filled. Subsequent re-assessment allows us to evaluate the impact of the catch up programme.
