What is it?
Students Look at buying items, getting items for free, upcycling them and selling for a profit.
This course is for those people who are interested in designing, making and selling things to turn a profit
What will I be doing?
Enterprise will help develop the practical skills you need to set up and run a business successfully. From thinking of ideas, developing them, to designing and making products, through to marketing and selling them for profit. Working out costs, income and expenditure as well as change when someone pays you. As your skills improve over the year, we are hoping to use them to do produce items to sell in and around the Academy as well as further afield such as the Stockton Sparkle event at Christmas in Stockton town centre.
Skills and Knowledge Learned:
Designing and making products
Working out costs and overheads to generate a price to sell the goods to turn a profit, as well as working out change and profit margins.
Who is the course suitable for?
Any Student who cares about designing, making and selling items and likes to make money.
Assessment
Students will complete an ASDAN Enterprise short course.
