Curriculum Area Overview
ICT courses at the Sixth Form caters for students with severe learning difficulties up to GCSE level. Courses and qualifications are aimed at an appropriate level for the students, including Entry Level Functional Skills and level 1 and 2 ITQ.
Examination Courses Offered
Functional Skills - Entry Levels 1, 2 & 3
ITQs for IT Users (7574) - City & Guilds Levels 1 & 2
Asdan Towards Independence using ICT.
Skills and Knowledge Learned
ITQ - designed to provide competence from Level 1 to Level 3, (although our college only goes to Level 2)
The ITQ is ideal for those with little experience in ICT for the underpinning knowledge that could aid progression to further education or employment or those seeking more in depth knowledge and skills in particular topics.
Basic ICT skills, which are included in the Functional Skills curriculum.
