Curriculum Area Overview

Developing young people’s confidence and ability. Students learn through interesting, practical, interactive activities that develop real life maths knowledge.

The most able will study GCSE maths over their two years at the Sixth Form..

The broad aims at all levels are to promote mathematical thinking and transferable skills rather than rote learning. Students will also cover:

· Maths that is useful in everyday situations and the world of work: money, time, number skills and real life problems.

· Clear routines and procedures for specific situations
