What is it?
This is the ideal option for adventurous learners who enjoy being outdoors, exploring the environment around them and working as part of a team. You will develop excellent planning, communication and team building skills.
What will I be doing?
The travel option involves researching, planning and going on a variety of trips. You will visit parks, coastal locations, markets, museums, woodlands and local areas of interest.
Activities may include
You will go on many outdoor adventures. You will use a variety of research methods to plan your trips. You will consider location, transport, cost, weather, essential items required for the trip and health and safety. The course will focus on organising an enjoyable trip for all, whatever the weather!
Skills and Knowledge Learned
Planning, organisation, team work, communication and problem solving skills. ICT skills will be developed during research activities.
Who is the course suitable for?
Students who enjoy exploring the outdoors as a team player and have a natural curiosity in their local environment. Most of the course will be outdoor so students will need to be suitably dressed and be prepared to get involved in all activities.
