Practical DIY
What is it?
Turning a house into a home can be very expensive, so the more you can do yourself the more money you save.
This course is for those people who are hands on and like to have a go and will prepare you for improving the space you live in now and in the future.
What will I be doing?
Practical DIY will help develop the practical skills you will need to maintain and improve your home. When flat pack furniture has to be built; when fences blow down in the winter; when you fancy decorating a room; when you want to put up shelves or install security lighting; calling in the experts will cost you money, so being able to do these things for yourself is not only rewarding but it also saves you money. As our skills improve over the year, we are hoping to use them to do a makeover of our college by giving it a much needed new coat of paint, our very own Abbey Hill Sixth Form “Homes Under The Hammer”
